It was (as they used to say) a Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post picture as the Houston American Legion members, the Houston High School Band, sporting their new uniforms, and the Houston Community gathered for the annual services commemorating the deceased veterans of our area.
2008 Lions Club Triathlon

The Triathlon had approximately 400 participants this year. It includes canoeing 8 miles down the Root River, biking 6 miles back to Houston, and running 3 miles. The weather was picture perfect and the athletes were fantastic!
